Robin Thigpen

Robin G. Thigpen, 55, passed away on March 14, 2018, at her residence in Bogalusa.

She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church in Varnado. She was also a U.S. Army veteran.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Thigpen of Bogalusa; two sons, James Michael Thigpen of Bogalusa, and Shane Gill of Bogalusa; one daughter, Amanda Thigpen McFarlain of Madisonville; parents, Robert and Grace Gill of Bogalusa; one brother, Tray Gill of Pearl River; sisters, Lynn Taylor of Thomasville, Cathy Gill of Bogalusa, and Connie Blackburn of Biloxi, Miss.; and grandchildren, David Gill, Alyssa Garner, Kayne and Gracie McFarlain.

She is preceded in death by a son, Paul “P.A.” Garner.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 16, at First Missionary Baptist Church in Varnado, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Visitation will continue on Saturday, March 17, from 9 a.m. until time for the services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Pounds cemetery, with military rites conducted by America Legion Post #24. The Rev. Kelly Penton will officiate.
