Jesse Young Jr.

Jesse Milton Young Jr., born in Fort Worth, Texas, on Sept. 7, 1947, and a longtime resident of Pine, passed away Monday night, March 5, 2018, at his home.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Marie Young; three sons, James (Billie) Young of Orange, Texas, Jesse (Coral) Young III of Kenner, and Jesse (Jessica) Young IV of Varnado; a daughter, Jessica Penton of Pine; and a brother, William “Billy” Young of Westwego. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Christopher Jarred Young, Alexis Marie Barber, Grady William Penton II, Andrew Lee Young, Landon Noah J. Young, Hunter William Magee Young and Levi Raylan Young; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Young and Jesse M. “Sonny” Young Sr.; five sisters and three brothers.
Mr. Young will be donated to Tulane University for science. A memorial was held privately for the family.
He served in the U.S. Army from Nov. 30, 1965, to Sept. 28, 1972.
