Darryl Wayne Haik, 57, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018, at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in Jefferson.

He was born on Sept. 19, 1960, in Bogalusa, to Lester Gabe Haik and Helen Faye Lee Haik.

He is survived by his sister, Neva (Johnny) White of Sandy Hook, Miss.; two brothers, Lester Haik Jr. of Bogalusa, and Ricky Haik of Sandy Hook; brother-in-law, Gerald Cameron; his nieces, Leslie Knight of Bogalusa, Amber Haik-Smith of Columbia, Miss., and Tonya Fornea of Sandy Hook; six great-nephews, and a great-niece.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lester Gabe Haik and Helen Faye Lee Haik; a sister, Linda Cameron; a nephew, John Michael White; and a niece, Kris Cameron Cobb.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 6, at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Memorial services began at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Ricky Daughtery officiating. Interment was held at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
