Bruce Miller

Bruce Dalton “Seedy” Miller was born in Bogalusa, on June 28, 1950. He was a lifelong resident of Bogalusa, and for the last seven years he lived in Hattiesburg, Miss.
Seedy died on Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, at the age of 67 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg. He was a member and deacon of Southern Baptist Church in Varnado. He graduated from Bogalusa High School in 1968. From there, he served in the U.S. Air Force. Upon returning home, he worked for Acuna Upholstery Shop and the Box Plant till it closed. He then attended Sullivan Vo Tech, where he got his degree in carpentry. He built many houses in Bogalusa and surrounding area. But his real love was building cabinets.
He is survived by his wife, Lauren Bailey Miller; a son, Toby Lee Miller; a daughter, Terri Miller Rachel (J. B.); brother, Donnie Miller (Debbie); and a half sister, Angel Miller, all of Bogalusa; two grandsons, Taylor Miller of Mississippi, and Kaleb Miller of Franklinton; two granddaughters, Erin and Leah Rachel of Bogalusa; a very special friend from Hattiesburg; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jo Carter McMillan; his step-father, Aubrey McMillan; his sister, Susan LaJune “Sissy” Miller; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Stanley P. and Dorothy Bailey.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, for family and friends in the American Legion Post #24 Veterans Cemetery in Ponemah Cemetery, with Full Military Graveside Services by the Magic City American Legion Post #24.
