Kathleen Sumrall George, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018, at her home in Amite.

She was born Dec. 24, 1957, in Bogalusa and was 60 years of age. She was a retired teacher with 34 years of service with the Tangipahoa Parish School System.

She is survived by her husband, Ron George; three sons, Brett Dagro and wife, Amy, Josh Dagro and wife, Megan, and Lee Dagro and wife, Sophie; step-son, Michael Kopenhaver and wife, Jessica; five grandchildren, Abby, Bryce, Easton, Dominic, and Cade Dagro; two step-grandchildren, Trinity and Kyler Kopenhaver; brother, Reubin Sumrall, Jr. and wife, Brenda; sister, Cindy Wilks and husband, Bill.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Reubin and Marie Sumrall.

Visitation will be at McKneely Funeral Home in Amite, from 9 a.m. until religious services at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27.

Services will be conducted by Deacon Roger Navarra. Interment will be at Colonial Mausoleum, in Independence.
