Sea Willow Warner

Sea Willow Warner, born Dec. 1, 1924, passed away on Monday, Feb. 19, 2018 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, La. at the age of 93. She was a lifelong resident of Varnado, La. She was a veteran serving in the 72nd WAC Hospital Company of the U.S. Army. She was also a faithful member of the First Missionary Baptist Church for over 60 years, where she was a Sunday School teacher for over 40 years.

She is survived by her son, Larry (Kay Kay) Warner of Varnado, La.; three daughters, Darla (David) Esteve of Metairie, La., Lynda (Clyde) Burge of Tumwater, Wash., and Janis Barber of Mt. Herman, La. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, other relatives, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Earl Warner, Sr.; a grandson, Chris Pope; two brothers, Jerry Newman and Louis Newman, Jr.; and her parents, Louis and Grace Newman.

She also leaves behind to cherish her memory, R.C. Newman, special friend, May Lea Fornea, and special grandson who was a devoted caregiver, Bryan Warner.

Visitation and services will be on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2018 at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa, La. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. and continue until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. M. Rev. Caleb Martin will officiate. Interment to follow at Seal Cemetery.
