Latreed D’Quinton Allen was born Aug. 10, 1978 to Aleshia Allen and Johnny Harvey. Latreed departed this life Feb. 12, 2018.
He attended School in Franklinton, La. where he was an avid sports lover. He was known as the “Hill Top Legend, “because of his love and passion for basketball.
Latreed was a friend in your time of need, and bounded the lives of everyone who was blessed to know him. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, cooking out and watching sports. Latreed was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Latreed leaves to cherish his memories: two daughters, Jada Robinson of Franklinton, La., Kamari Williams of Covington, La.; mother, Aleshia Allen of Franklinton; grandmother, Ollie Allen of Franklinton, Essie Mae Harvey of Clifton, La.; father, Johnny (JoAnn) Harvey of Maza, Ariz.; two brothers, Chad Allen of Franklinton, Johnathan Harvey of North Carolina; three sisters, Portia Allen of Franklinton, La., Tiffany Harvey and Samatha Harvey both from Houston, Texas; four nephews, Jorrian Burkhalter, Kai Allen, Kade Allen all of Franklinton, La., Travis Harvey of Houston; three nieces, Taylor Harvey, Kennedy Harvey of Houston and Kennedi Allen of Franklinton; special cousins, Dwan Williams Long, Audrea Allen, Isola Williams Sigsby, Shayla Allen, Janisca Allen, Kristal Millender, Janisha Allen, Shalay Allen, Shakerian (Tee) Allen, D’Andre Allen, and Shayland Allen; nine uncles, John Lee Ginn, Lee Paul Allen of Franklinton, Ephron (Vera) Harvey, Jeffery (Gloria) Harvey of Franklinton, Charles (Rose) Harvey, Willie (Ceclia) Harvey of Fresno, Calif., Stevon Harvey of Tacoma, Wash., Matthew (Bernice) Harvey of Ken, Wash. and Andre Allen of Houston; nine aunts, Allean, Gloria (Jeffery) Harvey, Stephney (Cage) Williams, Janis Allen, Veronica Ward all of Franklinton, Shelia Harvey, Tiffany Harvey, Alicia Harvey of Fresno and Jennifer Simmons of Atlanta, Ga.; and a host of cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by Albert Charles Magee, Ephron Harvey, Sr. and step grandfather, Willie “Bill” Washington.
Visitation will be on Friday, Feb. 23, 2018 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Crain and Sons Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Saturday, Feb 24, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Magee’s Temple Church of God in Christ with Rev. Lanny Williams – Officiating, Supt. Cecealine Tate – Pastor. Interment – Bethel Church Cemetery. Crain and Sons Funeral Home – Franklinton are in charge of arrangements.
