On Monday, the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office was notified by a parish resident that unknown persons had used the resident’s bank card at a business on Highway 10 in the Richardson community to purchase several hundred dollars of merchandise, according to WPSO Chief Deputy Mike Haley.

Detectives responded to the scene and were able to retrieve video from the store’s surveillance system, Haley said.

The suspects are two young adults, a male and a female. They purchased a shopping cart full of merchandise, including a DVD player. Anyone able to identify one or both of the suspects is asked to contact Lt. Tom Anderson at (985) 661-2024.

Sheriff Randy Seal asks for the public’s assistance.

“These thieves need to be in our jail,” Seal said. “If you can identify these persons, do the right thing and let us know who they are so we can locate and arrest them.”
