Sandra Gail Davis Bloom, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at her home in Bogalusa, at the age of 64. She was born on Aug. 3, 1953, in Gordonsville, Va. Sandy worked for the City of Bogalusa, where she helped make Bogalusa better in so many ways for its citizens.

She is survived by her daughters, Beth Davis Cuevas (Steve) of Gulfport, Miss., and Katie Slider Read (Jeremy) of El Dorado Hills, Calif.; step-son, Anthony Bloom (Shawnessy) of Lafayette, and step-daughter, Sara Bloom of Colorado Springs; a sister, Dianne Smith of Orange, Va.; and her grandchildren, Ashley, Abbey, Aiden, Molly, Maddie, Noah and Samuel; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Claude Anthony Bloom; her parents, Fredrick W. Davis and Doris McGhee Davis; and a sister, Jeannie Dusing.

Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Thursday, Feb. 15, from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, Feb. 16, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Bill Moon officiating.
