Josephine Ann Salkowski Johnson, 71, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away Feb. 7, 2018, peacefully at her home and surrounded by her family.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard Johnson; three daughters, Becky (Chris) Walley of Bogalusa, Melissa (Donnie) Smith of Picayune, Miss., and Crissy Johnson of Truman, Ark.; a sister, Ruth Macaluso of Mandeville; nine grandchildren. Justin (Willie) Walley-Ross, Ben (Michaela) Walley, Heather Smith, Jonathan Smith, Holly Smith, Hannah Smith, Joyanna Smith, Richie Dickerson and Christopher Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; a special family friend, Amy Bilbo; and her “fur baby,” Blackey.

Visitation will be at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Sunday, Feb. 11, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and continue on Monday, Feb. 12, at 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 11 a.m.

Burial will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery with the Rev. Donnie Smith and the Rev. Alton Johnson officiating. Pallbearers will include Jonathan Smith, Justin Walley-Ross, Ben Walley, Nick Blackburn, Duane Billings, Larry Macalusa and Paul Black.
