Joyce Stringer Alford, 88, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away on Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, at Resthaven Living Center in Bogalusa.

She is survived by four daughters, Brenda Breland Hill (Lerue) of Petal, Miss., Dolores Alford Jenkins (Carl) of Germantown, Tenn., Joan Alford Jenkins of Collierville, Tenn., and Patricia Alford Stockwell of Lakeland, Tenn.; a son, Keith Edward Alford (Karen) of Loranger; a sister, Elcyle Kennedy of Bogalusa; nine grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Stringer and Effie Crain Stringer; and her brothers and sisters, Johnny Stringer, Otis Stringer, Gladys Branch, and Claudine Fortenberry.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Friday, Feb. 9, from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Graveside services will be held immediately following, at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
