Holly Jean Dunbar, National Conservation Chairman, has announced that the Oushula Chapter has received approval from the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, to award its “National Conservation Medal” to Will Branch. This medal is given to a non-member adult volunteer for a distinguished conservation record.

Letters from Sandy Bloom, President of the Museums of Cassidy Park, and Minnie Quay Posey, Chairman of the Flower House Division of the Washington Parish Fair Association, Inc., along with numerous newspaper articles, were compiled and collected by Margaret Ryals and submitted with the nomination. This documentation included the relocation of a tree to Goodyear Park, a program for the Oushula Chapter, and mulch for the flower bed at Cassidy Park.

A public reception for the presentation of the certificate and medal will be held at a future date.
