Rose Elma Laird, 89, passed away on Jan. 31, 2018, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center. She was a resident of Sun.

She is survived by one son, Danny Ray Laird of Denham Springs; one brother, Frank Campbell of Gardner, Kan.; one sister, Ethelyn Barrows of Bartlesville, Okla.; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Elston Emery Laird; parents, Basil and Mildred Hanna Campbell; brother, Robert Campbell; sisters, Naomi Williams and Evelyn Hazen; and two grandsons, Robert Preston Ray and John Love.

Visitation will begin Tuesday, Feb. 6, in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 9 a.m. until time for services in the chapel at noon. Burial will be in Sun Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Paul Coarse will officiate.
