Phyllis Rose Hines, 79, passed away on Jan. 25, 2018, at her residence.

She is survived by one son, Walter W. Hines of Angola; daughters, Wanda Loyd (Maurice) of Enon, and Carol Thomas of Maurepas; brother, Ralph Bubar (Dawn) of Houlton, Maine; one sister, Dorothy Dobbs of St. Augustine, Fla.; six grandchildren; and nine great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Hines Jr.; one son, Anthony Wayne Hines; parents, Samuel and Thelma Bubar; and a granddaughter, Rachel Loyd.

A private visitation was held on Tuesday, Jan. 30, in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 11 a.m. until noon. A graveside service followed at Hines Cemetery in Stateline.
