Huey ‘Pug’ Stafford

Mr. Huey “Pug” Dudley Stafford, 66, of Bogalusa passed away on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018, at the home of his daughter Angelica in Madison, Va.

Mr. Stafford was born on June 8, 1951, in Bogalusa, to the late Huey Pierce Stafford and Betty Stogner Hammond. Mr. Stafford was preceded in death by his wife, June Wheat Stafford; and brother, Douglas Lee Stafford.

He is survived by his two daughters, Angelica Stafford Prince (Jay) of Madison, and Jodi Gaudé (Glenn) of Covington. He is also survived by two step-sons, Scott Wheat (Nikki) of Bogalusa, and Steven Smith (Alicia) of Bogalusa; seven grandchildren, Tyler, Trevor, Travis, Little Jay, Kayla, Morgan, and Savannah; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Brown-McGhee Funeral Home in Bogalusa on Friday, Feb. 2. Visitation for family is from 11 a.m. to noon, and for friends and family from noon until 2 p.m. with funeral services at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment with military honors at Ponemah Cemetery will follow.

Mr. Stafford asked that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St Jude’s Children’s Hospital in the names of he and his wife June.
