Washington Parish Sheriff Randy Seal recently recognized Kyle McKinney as the Corrections Deputy of the Year in a recent ceremony in his office.
McKinney, a resident of the Mt. Hermon community, has served as the jail transport officer since Aug. 1, 2016. In his job, he transports inmates to and from various corrections facilities throughout the state, performs local inmate transfers, and is always willing to help out in the jail as needed.
“Kyle is a tireless worker and an excellent employee,” Seal said. “He never hesitates to come out and work at any time he is needed, even on weekends. He always makes certain inmates are available for court appearances as scheduled.
“He is a man of integrity and we are fortunate to have him on our staff.”
