Funeral services for Mrs. Carolyn Ann Adams McCain, 74, were held on Friday, Jan. 19, at Carson Springs Baptist Church with the Rev. Archie Herrin and the Rev. Carl Dickens officiating. Burial was in the Carson Springs Cemetery.

Mrs. McCain passed away Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, Miss. She was born Oct. 3, 1943 in Bogalusa, to the late Daniel Wilkerson Adams and Jane Coon Adams Hill.

In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband, J.Q. McCain; sisters, Edith Adams, Alda Lee Adams Bennett, Alice Adams Scroggs, Dorothy Adams Bush, Thelma Adams Young, Hazel Adams, Betty Sue Adams Brumfield, Lucy Adams Kuylen and Ola Adams Hobgood; and brothers, Otis Adams, Ocie Adams, Earl Adams, Ray Adams, Lavelle Adams and Willie Adams.

Mrs. McCain was a member of Carson Springs Baptist Church and a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and going to ballgames to cheer on her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Michael McCain (Melissa), Terry McCain (Sherri) and Mark McCain (Stephanie); brothers, Clyde Adams (Sue) and Danny Adams (Cindy); two special sisters-in law, Bonnie King and Joyce McCain; brother-in-law, Fred Kuylen Jr.; grandchildren, Lauren Holden (Logan), Jason Griffith (Patricia), Josh Hilbun (Kristen), Karsen McCain, Bailey McCain, Bethany McCain, Cooper McCain, and Easton McCain; great-grandchildren Amelia Holden, Adalynn Griffith, Jamie and Kasey, Avery Hilbun, Aria Hilbun, Adelynn Hilbun, and Autumn Hilbun; and a host of nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers were Jason Griffith, Corey McCain, Richard Brumfield, Joe Moore, Derrick McLaurin and Logan Holden.

Honorary pallbearers were Justin Hawks, Larry Hobgood, and Dewayne McCain.
