Belva Mizell Goins, from Bogalusa, passed away after a lengthy illness in Lufkin, Texas, on Jan 22, 2018.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Herbert Goins, from Natchez, Miss. They both spent their later years at Toledo Bend Reservoir fishing their years away. Prior to that, they lived in Gallatin, Tenn., and Natchez.

She is survived by her children, Jay Wells and wife Michelle of Warner Robins, Ga., and Leisha Wells of Burkeville, Texas; and also step-children Brian Goins and wife Kristy of Tennessee, and Holly Neely of Natchez. Grandchildren include Nicole Puryear and husband Louis of Warner Robins, Brittany Wells and fiance Dillon Burgin of Warner Robins, and Tyler Neely of Natchez. Great-grandchildren include Jaylynn Puryear and Oliver Burgin of Warner Robins. She is also survived by her brother, Chess Mizell and wife Patsy, of Knoxville, Tenn.

Service will be at Laird’s Funeral Home in Natchez, on Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018. Viewing will be from noon until 1:30 p.m., with service at 130 p.m., and burial to follow at Greenlawn Cemetary for those who wish to remember her.
