Wilton Baker

On May 17, 1950, Wilton Baker was born to the late Erma Jean Baker Robinson and Will Robinson.

He was a very hard worker. His former places of employment were Wayne Seal Grocery, Travis Grocery, the City of Bogalusa, Casadaban Nursery, Perino’s Garden Center and Serv-Pro.

Later in life, he met and married Mary Jackson and to that union, four daughters were born.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Erma Baker Robinson; and his father, Will Robinson; two sisters, Janice Robinson and Juanita Johnson; two brothers, Prentiss and Joseph Robinson; grandmother, Annie Powell; one daughter, Shantell Butler; two grandchildren, Brittnay and Jamal Baker.

Left to cherish his memories are Letecia (Otis) Robinson of Tylertown, Miss., Cecelia Baker, Quanda (Aubrey) Fuller, (the late Shantell Butler) Dwayne, all of Bogalusa; sisters, Helen and Mary Robinson and Annie (Marvin) Hughes of Bogalusa, and Alfreda Harris of McComb, Miss.; brothers, Will and Albert Robinson of Bogalusa; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; and special friends at the William Johnson Auto Shop.

Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 29, at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa, from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m., followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m. with Minister Gregory Russell officiating.

Interment will be in the Bogalusa Cemetery.
