Mary Pizzolato Carter, born Jan. 3, 1931, to Sam and Elizabeth Fontana Pizzolato, went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 20, 2018, at the age of 87. She was also a sales clerk at Pepe’s Drugs. She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church.

She is survived by three children, Cathy Carter and her husband Brent, David Floyd Carter and his wife Jan and Thomas D. Carter; five grandchildren, Robert B. Penton and his wife Jeannie, Kristin Carter and her husband Justin, Aaron Carter, Dustin Carter and Clayton Carter; eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Sam and Elizabeth Fontana Pizzolato; her husband, Floyd Carter; seven brothers; two sisters; and a granddaughter, Caitlyn Ann Carter.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Jan. 25, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home, beginning at 10 a.m. until the service time at 2 p.m. Father Daniel Brouillette will officiate the services, with the interment to follow in the Ponemah Cemetery.
