Everyone is invited to join in the celebration of 100 years of papermaking in Bogalusa in front of the Main Stage at Cassidy Park, from 11 a.m. through 2 p.m. Saturday.

“One hundred years of continuous manufacturing is a great accomplishment for the city of Bogalusa and the state of Louisiana,” said Bernie Chascin, International Paper Bogalusa mill manager. “This is a celebration not just for the mill, but for our entire community.”

Kalisa Hyman, the mill’s communications manager, said that the mill wants everybody to enjoy the celebrations, which will include bounce houses, games, music, a photo booth, and food.

Chascin and Brett Mosley, IP’s vice president of manufacturing, will start off the speaking program at 11:30 a.m.

Also speaking will be Louisiana State Treasurer John Schroder, Louisiana State Sen. Beth Mizell, Louisiana State Rep. Malinda White, Bogalusa Mayor Wendy Perrette, and Washington Parish President Richard Thomas.
