Washington Parish Council on Aging and Washington Parish Public Transit will have “Rider Appreciation Week” from Monday, Jan. 22, through Friday, Jan. 26.

During that week, cash fare riders will be able to ride for half-price fares. Transit services are provided on a space-available basis. Common destinations include medical facilities, doctors’ offices, work sites, senior centers, shopping centers, government facilities and more. Services are provided for any person residing within the geographic area of Washington Parish. Passengers may be transported to any destination located within parish boundaries. WPPT does not cross state lines. Specific routes and schedules are available upon request.

Vehicle operation hours are 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. Office hours are 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Two-day advance reservations are required. Same-day services are provided on a space-available basis.
