Washington Parish President Richard N. Thomas Jr., by executive order, closed all government offices at noon on Tuesday, and said they will remain closed all day Wednesday, Jan. 17.
The City of Bogalusa closed its offices at 1 p.m. Tuesday, but would decide at 8 p.m. if they would remain closed on Jan. 17. Emergency personnel will be available. Contact Bogalusa Public Works at 985-732-6213 if you are in the city and in need of assistance.
Additionally all schools in the Bogalusa City School System and the Washington Parish System will be closed Wednesday due to the inclement weather. In fact, Annunciation Catholic School also closed at noon Tuesday, as did the Bogalusa City Schools.
They also include Ben’s Ford Christian School, Bowling Green School, and Northshore Charter School.
On their individual websites, the parish government, city of Bogalusa government, and all schools or systems expressed safety concerns.
