Shirley Harvey Conerly departed this life for her home in Heaven on Monday, Dec. 25, 2017.

Her life touched so many through her smile, her love of flowers, her giftedness as a decorator, and her love for family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Artis and Emma Harvey; a grandson, Marcus Jeffery Porter; four sisters, Verlene Washington, Alee Magee, Lenzie Magee, and Beautie Lee; and a brother, Lamfus Harvey.

Shirley leaves to cherish her life and legacy: her husband, Marvin Conerly; 10 children, Silas J. Conerly (Joyce) of Gaithersburg, Md., Robert Conerly of Upper Marlboro, Md., Lillian D. Mitchell of Seattle, Wash., Mattie Conerly-Porter of Forestville, Md., Harvey M. Conerly (Deonne) of Franklinton, Albert C. Conerly (Ingrid) of Seattle, Santa C. Jones (Lindsay) of St. Louis, Mo., Sharon E. Conerly of Ft. Washington, Md., Roy L. Conerly (Alice) of Mandeville, and Michael A. Conerly of Seattle; one grandson, who was raised as a son, Robert Conerly Jr. (Cassie) of Kent, Wash.; three brothers, Willie Harvey (Lizzie) of Cleveland, Ohio, George Harvey (Ella) of Franklinton, and Paul Harvey of Franklinton; three sisters, Emma J. Magee of Franklinton, Mary Jones of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, and Clara King (Eddie) of Franklinton; 32 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be on Friday, Jan. 5, from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m., at Bethel Church of Christ Holiness USA.

The funeral service will be Saturday, Jan. 6, at 11 a.m., at Sweet Home Church of Christ Holiness USA with Rev. Washington Drake, host pastor, and Bishop Vernon E. Kennebrew officiating.
