Lidiia D. Koziuberda, 86, passed away peacefully on Dec. 24, 2017, at her daughter’s home in Bogalusa. Lidiia was born April 2, 1932, in Kharkov, Ukraine, the daughter of Dmytro Khalupchak and Tetiana Dmytrivna.

Lidiia grew up under Soviet Union rule, was a survivor of the Great War and worked hard all of her life. In the Soviet system, there was little time for hobbies or outside interest. However, she managed to sing in the church choir as she enjoyed singing very much. She also loved very much going to the theater whenever possible.

Lidiia was a member of Annunciation Christian Orthodox Church in Kharkov.

Lidiia was survived by her daughter, Larissa Papazian-Gregg; and son-in-law, Raymond Gregg of Bogalusa; two grandsons, David Winder and Matthew Gavin; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Friday, Dec. 29, from 9 a.m. until time for services at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Hillview Memorial Gardens. Deacon Edward Kelly of Annunciation Catholic Church in Bogalusa will officiate.
