Clifford Weary

I’ve fought the good fight and God gave me my crown on Dec. 14, 2017, at 12:46 p.m.

Clifford Eugene Weary, or “Catdaddy” as he was affectionately called, was born on Oct. 21, 1970, to the late Willie J. and Georgia Mae Weary.

He was a member of Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, where he served as a member of the Board of Trustees until his time of death. He was a graduate of Varnado High class of 1989, and a graduate of Northshore Technical Community College with an Associate Degree in Building Technologies. He was employed with F. L. Crain and Sons and then later employed by NTCC as the YouthBuild carpentry field instructor until the time of his death.

Visitation will be held Friday, Dec. 22, at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held Saturday, Dec. 23, at the Bogalusa High School auditorium at 1 p.m., with Elder Victor Robinson officiating.

Interment will be in Robinson Cemetery in Angie.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, Willie J. and Georgia Mae Weary; father and mother-in-law, Clarence and Melissa Robinson Jr.; maternal grandparents, Tillis Jefferson and Johnnie Mae Peters; paternal grandparents, Frank and Treni Weary; three sisters, Augustine, Annette and Leatha; one brother, Ronald; a brother-in-law, Neil; and two nephews.

He leaves to cherish his lifetime memories: his wife of 17.5 years, Juawanna R. Weary; his daughters, Ja-Juan (Michael) Packard Sr., Caitlyne M. Robinson, Ke’Von E. Griffin and Amber L. Myres; his grandsons, Michael “MJ” and Mason “Mason Jar” Packard; one brother-in-law, Edward Thornton Jr.; four brothers, Donald, Roy (Belinda), Troy (Tasha) Weary, Tyrone (Tyeisha) McGowan; sister-in-law, Inez Weary; two sisters, Louisa Mingo and Hester Weary; godparents, Mitchell Sr. and Myra Magee; god-brothers, Corey, Mitchell Jr. (Latrice), and Dennis Magee; god-sisters, Beverly (Howard) Kelly and Tina McLauren; six special cousins, Kent Spikes, Derrick Lee, Douglas Smith, Alvin Frazier, Daisy and Lorenzo Myres; three special friends, Dudley Stallings, Charles Lee and Ray Gary Lewis; and a host of nieces, nephews, his YouthBuild family, family and friends.
