Pamela “Pam” Jarrell Bateman, 58, of Franklinton, died Monday morning, Dec. 11, 2017, at Riverside Medical Center.

She loved beautiful flowers and also the plants that filled her home. Pam enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and always made the best dressing and chicken pie. She adored her children and grandchildren and had a special place in her heart for her pet Chihuahua, “Lady.”

She is survived by: son, Derwin Bateman of Franklinton; four daughters and a son-in-law, Wendy Bateman of Franklinton, Nicole Jarrell of Jacksonville, Fla., Amy Wiggins and Carlos Ramirez of Texas, and Kelly Wiggins; four grandchildren, Kaley Smith, Kyle Smith, Ronald Wiggins Jr., and Dallas Bateman; parents, Doyle and Faye Jarrell of Franklinton; brother, Doyle W. Jarrell of Franklinton; two sisters, Patricia Stephens of Franklinton, and Sheila Heinsz of Bush; and also numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Tammy Jarrell; grandson, Paris Owens; and grandparents, Buford and Audrey Creel and Estus and Edna Jarrell.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home on Wednesday, Dec. 13, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., and after 9 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 14. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 14, in the funeral home chapel with Eld. Mark Harrison and Eld. Duane Ball officiating. Burial will follow in the Acy’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Jeff Graves, Charles Heinsz Jr., Charles Heinsz III, Byron Brumfield, Blake Jarrell and Billy Rayborn.

In lieu of flowers or plants, the family prefers donations to help with final expenses.
