Peggy Joyce Hayman Breland, born March 25, 1937, went to be with Our Lord on Friday, Dec. 1, 2017.

She was a native and current resident of Bogalusa. She also resided in Baton Rouge and Bay St. Louis, Miss., for several years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles “Charlie” Hayman; her mother, Cecilia “Speckie” Sphinx Hayman; and sister, Charolette Hayman Shettles.

She is survived by her husband, James W. Breland; her two sons, Robert A. Breland and Richard W. Breland; and two brothers, Joseph Hayman Sr. and Gene Hayman; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Union Heritage Baptist Church, Beta Sigma Psi Sorority, and a graduate of Bogalusa High School Class of 1955. She will be remembered for her volunteer work at the Bogalusa Help Center and involvement in her church.

Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 9, at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
