Geraldine Passman

Geraldine Gibson Passman, 80, a resident of Franklinton, died at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 25, at Kentwood Manor Nursing Home.

She was retired after over 30 years as a sales representative for Bellsouth. Geraldine was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Franklinton, where she was a member of the A.W. Robbins Sunday school class. Upon retiring, she and her husband volunteered for four years at the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home and she also volunteered at Riverside Medical Center in hospice care. Geraldine enjoyed cross-stitch and loved her flowers.

She is survived by: her husband of 60 years, Holyne Passman of Franklinton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mike and Pam Passman of Hickory, N.C., Richard and Renee Passman of Searcy, Ark., and Triche and Courtney Passman of West Monroe; nine grandchildren and spouses, Andrew Craven, Jamie Taylor, Shawn and Shannon Passman, Dache Passman, Aftan and Jachin Woods, Tommy and Ruby Pratt, Sawyer Passman, Lane Passman, and Landry Passman; nine great-grandchildren, Ian Passman, Joustin Passman, Caroline Taylor, Mason Taylor, Alexis Bratton, Brody Woods, Brandon Woods, Drake Pratt and Gunner Pratt; brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Marilyn Gibson of Franklinton; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Gibson and Margie Passman, both of Franklinton; and also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee Gibson and Taphenia Jenkins Gibson; 11 brothers and sisters; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Arelious and Luby Passman.

Visitation was at Crain Funeral Home on Monday, Nov. 27, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and after 12 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 28. A funeral service was held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Paul Watts and Rev. Joey Miller officiating. Burial followed in Morris Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Sawyer Passman, Al Williams, Von Gibson, Andy Gibson, Franklin Carr and Justin Seals.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to the First Baptist Church c/o Building Fund (950 Self St., Franklinton, LA 70438).
