Last weekend Bogalusa police chief Kendall Bullen and the Bogalusa Police Department hosted the first “Bogalusa Police and Young Adult Retreat,” at Deep South Bible Camp near Henleyfield, Miss.

“The youth enjoyed the weekend playing basketball, volleyball, fishing and gathering around a bonfire on Friday night,” said Maj. Percy Knight, public information officer for the BPD. “Chief Bullen and the Bogalusa Police Department would like to thank Ben Lewis, Spade Morris, and Raymond Morris for speaking positive and encouraging words to the youth.

“We would also like to thank the sponsors of the retreat — Travis’ Hometown Supermarket, Poole’s Bluff Bait Shop, Spade Morris, Kenita Nicoulin, Councilwoman Tamira Smith, Councilman Teddy Drummond and Councilman Scott Ard.

“Chief Bullen stated that he was pleased with the success of the retreat and plans to have more in the future.”
