Douglas Dakota “Cody” Jones, 32, was suddenly and unexpectedly called to his heavenly home.
He is survived by his parents, Doug and Bridgette Temples Jones of Covington. Also surviving Cody is his paternal grandmother, Peggy Jones Crain; his maternal grandparents, Hillion “Hollywood” and Vivian Stogner Temples; and his aunt and uncle, Daniel and Bronis Temples Sauls. He is also survived by his special cousin, who was more like a sister growing up, Savannah Sauls Parker of Covington. He also leaves his precious girlfriend, Katelyn Peat of Covington. Cody is also survived by many cousins, aunts and uncles, great aunts and uncles, great-great aunts and uncles, and friends, who all loved this special young man.
Cody is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Leroy Jones; and his aunt, Ginger Jones.
Cody loved riding his motorcycle on the Northshore, as well as the Smokey Mountains. He fished, worked with his Blue Heeler, Sadie, and refined his archery skills almost daily.
Cody was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church in Bogalusa.
The service will be on Monday, Nov. 27, at Brown McGehee Funeral Home at 11 a.m., with internment at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery.
