Marion LeBlanc

Mrs. Marion Stiller LeBlanc passed away on Nov. 19, 2017, at 11:58 a.m. She was 93 years young. She is the daughter of George F. and Margaret Hooks Stiller of New Orleans.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Eggert “Dago” LeBlanc of Labadieville; five sisters, Margaret Stiller Bourgeois, Georgia Stiller DeFrense of New Orleans, Millie S. Barnes of Lacombe, Betty S. Pilgrim of Picayune Miss., Joyce S. Kintz of Kenner; and one brother, Henry (Hank) Christian Stiller of Slidell.

Mrs. LeBlanc was a long-time resident of Rio, and more recently, Robert.

She worked at The Orleanian Apartments in New Orleans from 1970-1985 and at One Flock Books & Gifts in Covington from 2000-2010.

She was a parishioner at St. Anselm Catholic Church in Madisonville, and St. Peter Catholic Church in Covington.

She enjoyed participating in the St. Joseph Altar in her parish. She was a member of the Silver Sneakers at the Covington YMCA and also enjoyed family gatherings.

She is survived by her son Gary LeBlanc Sr. and wife Dale of Robert; daughter, Wanda LeBlanc of Bogalusa; three grandchildren, Jessica Sanders of Fort Myers, Fla., Brianna Sandifer of Bogalusa, and Gary LeBlanc Jr. and wife Gina of Independence. She also has two great grandsons, Body Sandifer and Isaac LeBlanc.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Nov. 25, at Annunciation Catholic Church, located at 517 Ave. B in Bogalusa, beginning at 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Rosary will start at 11:30 a.m., with a funeral Mass to follow at noon. Burial will follow in Hillview Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Father Daniel Brouillette will officiate. In Lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred on her behalf.
