Chief Kendall Bullen and the Bogalusa Police Department will host a children’s camp for troubled teenagers at the Deep South Bible Camp Retreat, located between Crossroads, Miss., and Henleyfield, Miss.

They will head out on Friday, Nov. 17, camp out Friday night, and return on Saturday.

The BPD has activities planned for the kids, such as basketball and volleyball, on Friday, and plan to sit around a bonfire later in the night. The evening meal will be smoked chicken, baked beans and potato salad, according to Maj. Percy Knight, public information officer for the BPD.

“On Saturday morning, breakfast will be served and the kids will spend the day fishing in the nearby lake,” he said. “For lunch we will serve hot dogs with chili and hamburgers. At 4 p.m., we will depart the camp and travel back to the BPD parking lot.”
