Pauline ‘Jewell’ Lowe

Pauline “Jewell” Lowe, 85, born on Aug. 31, 1932, in Poplarville, Miss., passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, at her residence in Bogalusa. She lived in Bogalusa for over 60 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Karen (Kenny) Little of Bogalusa; two sons, Jim (Lenora) Lowe of Cumming, Ga., and Kevin (Lisa) Lowe of Buras; five grandchildren, Cody (Kimchai) Lowe of Alaska, Trent Lowe of Cumming, Brittany (Josh) Cook of Cumming, Chloe Lowe of Belle Chasse, and Lauren (Chris Carlisle) Little of Franklinton; a great-grandchild, Brynlee Carlisle of Franklinton; a special friend, Brenda Harvil of Bogalusa; and also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Lloyd Lowe; her parents, Walter E. Shill Sr. and Pauline Embree Shill; and two brothers, Clayton Shill and Walter Shill Jr.

Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Friday, Nov. 17, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Funeral services were held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Paul Cantrell officiating. Interment followed at Ponemah Cemetery.
