Early voting for the Nov. 18 run-off election starts today and will continue through Saturday, Nov. 11. Voting will be available each day except for Sunday, Nov. 5.

Voters can participate in early voting at the Northshore Technical College’s Sullivan campus in Bogalusa, or the parish courthouse in Franklinton. Hours are 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. each day.

The main race on the ballot is for state treasurer. The top two vote-getters from the Oct. 14 primary were the Democratic Party candidate Derrick Edwards and the Republican Party candidate John Schroder.

The winner between Edwards and Schroder will replace former treasurer John N. Kennedy, who left the treasurer’s office after he was elected to the U.S. Senate.

In addition, voters in the Bogalusa City Schools district will vote on three millage renewals.
