Billie Ann Corkern, 87, passed away on Oct. 28, 2017, at The Care Center in Baton Rouge. She is a former resident of Bogalusa.

She was co-owner of Bogalusa Home Supermarket #1, Billie’s Snowball Stand, and loved to cook and bake. She was also a member of Zion Lutheran Church here in Bogalusa.

She is survived by two sons, Keith Corkern (Annette) of Pride, and Benny Corkern (Toni) of Denham Springs; one daughter, Belinda Alt (Gordon) of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Clara Jo Beaushaw (Leonard) of Franklinton; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband, H.B. Corkern Jr.; parents, William and Clara Davenport; sisters, Dorothy Rondgey and Ann Bell Larson; and a grandson, Blake Corkern.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 1, at Zion Lutheran Church in Bogalusa, beginning at 9 a.m. until time for services at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens. The Rev. Joe Arthur will officiate.
