Bogalusa Public Works Director James Hall, during a city council meeting Tuesday, told Councilman Brian McCree that the water was off in his District C, which includes the Richardsontown Community.

“I told him the water was off in his district, so when he got home he would know what to expect,” he said. “We installed a hot tap, and it only held about three or four hours, then it blew loose. It’s not supposed to do that.”

During the meeting, Hall said he hoped the water would be back on by midnight.

On Wednesday, he said, “We got lucky. It was only off until 6:30.”

The water was reportedly off from 3:20 p.m. through 6:30 p.m.
