Mr. Herbert Owen Culbreath “Hub,” 62, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 15, 2017. He was born in Leitchfield, Ky., and resided most of his life in the Oak Grove community near Franklinton.

Hub was a carpenter by trade, craftsman at heart, storyteller for laughs. Keeping memories alive and saying, “it may not be how the story really went, but it was how the story had to be told!”

He was a loving father and devoted friend to many, including: Wanda Culbreath; two daughters, Jennifer Waldrop (Curtis) and Natasha Culbreath (Joe); two sons, Richard and Jesse Owen Culbreath. He was the grandfather to Brittany, Nina and Angel Waldrop, Mark A. Hunt Jr., Haylie and Hannah Culbreath; great-grandfather to Isabella Carter, Brynn Sterling, Curtie Marie and Edith Pearl Parker; brother to two sisters, Sheila Owens and Patricia Dykes; and uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert E. And E. Marie Culbreath; and one grandson, Morgan Wade Hunt.

There will be a celebration of life for the man who was everyone’s best friend on Wednesday, Nov. 22, at 4 p.m. at Hub’s home, where you became family when you walked in the door.

Arrangements are entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home of Covington.
