Darrell Lavon Magee, 60, known to many as “Lump,” passed away shortly after noon on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017, in Bogalusa at Our Lady of The Angels Hospital.

Darrell was a resident of Bogalusa, and the sixth of seven children born to the late George W. Magee and Celia Cloteal (Mark) Magee. He was a U.S. military veteran and a self-employed laborer.

Darrell is survived by three sisters, Sherrielyn Magee Dillon, Jerrielyn Magee Jones, and Antoinette Magee Way; two brothers, Glennis D. (Brenda) Magee, and Wayne E. Magee.

He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Magee; mother, Celia Cloteal (Mark) Magee; and brother, Charles E. Magee.

Family hour will be held on Saturday, Oct. 28, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, located at 432 Sullivan Drive in Bogalusa. The funeral service will follow immediately afterwards at 11 a.m., at the same location.
