BHS 1st place in ‘Raiders’

On Saturday, Oct. 14, the Bogalusa High School Jr. ROTC Raider Platoon was the champion of the Northshore High School Ranger Challenge held at Camp Villere.

The Lumberjack Raiders continued their winning ways by winning first place during last Saturday’s competition, and cadet Danielle Matran was selected as the Top Female Raider of the competition.

The Lumberjack Raiders are currently sitting in first place overall in the U.S. Army Northshore District Raider season standings, by winning the first two events of the season.

The remaining two competitions of the Raider Challenge season will be on Oct. 28 and Nov. 4. The Lumberjack Raiders will complete the 2017 season at the Raider State Championship, to be held on Nov. 18.
