It’s fair week in Washington Parish, and many businesses, including government offices, will shut down to let their employees enjoy the family friendly event.

The Washington Parish government will be closed from Wednesday through Friday.

The Washington Parish library system will close all day on Wednesday, and will close at noon on Thursday and Friday.

The Town of Franklinton government will be closed all day on Wednesday, and will close at noon on Thursday and Friday.

The City of Bogalusa government will be closed on Friday.

The Choctaw Road landfill will be closed on Saturday.

But not everybody will get extra days off to go to the Washington Parish Fair. Mail carriers will still make their appointed rounds, and trash pick-up should proceed as normal.
