James Ray Keys

The sweet Angel of Mercy moved in quietly on Oct. 7, 2017, and bore the spirit of James Ray Keys at the Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington.

James leaves to honor his memory: his daughter, Jasmine M. Keyes and grandson Ayden Myles of Bogalusa; two sisters, Joyce Keys of Baton Rouge and Fannie (Robert) Magee of Bogalusa; one brother, Linzey Keys of New Orleans; and many dear friends, including a very close friend, Diane Magee of Bogalusa, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marzine (Rev. Mary Ann) Keys and grandparents, Viola Jefferson, Tillis Jefferson and Charlie Lewis.

Visitation will be held Friday, Oct. 13, at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., followed by the family hour from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, Oct. 15, at 10 a.m. at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home, with Minister Jerry Tatum officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bogalusa Cemetery.
