Jamie Lee “Red” Adcox, 19, of Pine, went to his heavenly home in the early morning hours of Saturday, Sept. 30, 2017.

He was a 2016 graduate of Pine High School, where he was a five-year member of the Pine Raider baseball team, and he was voted Mr. P.H.S. during his senior year. Jamie worked with the bridge construction crew of the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development and attended Crain’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

Jamie loved hunting, fishing, playing softball and spending time with his family and friends. He will always be known and remembered for his kind loving nature, outgoing personality and infectious sense of humor. Jamie would tell y’all, “I Got This.”

He is survived by: parents, Woody and Dee Dee Adcox of Pine; brother, Nicholas Adcox of Pine; sister and brother-in-law, Callie Adcox Moore and Jordan Moore of Pine; nephew, Madden Moore; grandparents, Elton Miley and Brenda Diane Foster May, both of Pine; and also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

He was preceded in death by grandfather, Walter Butch Adcox; grandmother, Joyce Thomas Miley; and uncle, Chad Miley.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home on Wednesday, Oct. 4, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 5. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 5, in the funeral home chapel with Eld. Clyde Cooper, Eld. Edward Penton and Eld. Doyle Ball officiating. Burial will follow in the Crain’s Creek Baptist Missionary Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Williams, Austin Temples, Connor Holmes, Landon Fonda, Dakota Kennedy and Trey Cooper. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Graham, Jake Painter, Johnathan Lyons, Jerron Hughes, Trevor Fletcher, Luke Fonda, Brandon Jones, Andy Wayne Nobles, Cody Sumrall and Demario Athey.
