Hank Nastasi, 74, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Sept. 15, 2017 at his Hammond residence.
He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Hank was an extremely active member and greeter of Woodland Park Baptist Church and took pride in working with the LA Southern Baptist Disaster Relief. He enjoyed going fishing, camping, and cooking for his family. Hank was a true example of what it means to be God’s Child. He will be extremely missed by all who knew him. “Have I told you today that I love you?”
Hank is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Alva Nastasi; daughter, Carlyn Nastasi of Picayune, Miss.; sons, Anthony Nastasi and wife Beth of Nolenville, Texas, Douglas Nastasi Sr. and wife Jessica of Picayune, and Kiley Nastasi of Raleigh, N.C.; mother, Dorothy Nastasi of Hammond; and sisters, Kathy Powell and husband Henry “Tank” of Ponchatoula, and Susan McDaniel and husband Cliff of Hammond. He is also survived by his five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Nastasi Sr.; and son, Michael Nastasi.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial service at Woodland Baptist Church on Thursday, Oct. 5, at 11 a.m. Pastor Darryll Woolery will officiate and a memorial gathering will be held directly after the service.
