On Sept. 24, 2017, Jeppie Wayne Bourn, 83, died peacefully at his home. He loved his family and friends more than he could ever express with words. He expressed his love with actions to help his country, his community, and most of all his family.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Lorraine Mey Bourn; his sons, David and Dennis; his daughter, Anna Bourn; and his daughters-in-law, Sharon and Jennifer. He was the proud grandfather of five, Ethan, Leah, Claire, Emily, and Vivienne Bourn.

Visitation will be at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home on Thursday, Sept. 28, from 10 a.m. until noon. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery in New Orleans at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, do a kind deed to spread a sense of peace in our world.
