Sherry Irvine

Sherry Flynn Irvine, 78, passed away on Sept. 9, 2017, in Nashville, Tenn. She was a resident of Bogalusa and member of Main Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Harlan H. Irvine Jr. of Bogalusa, and Charles Kevin Irvine of Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Amy Irvine Crighton of Moon Township, Penn., and Angela Irvine Sullivan of Meridian, Miss.; brothers, Joe Troy Flynn of Crossroads, Miss., Tony Flynn of Pearl River, and Merrel Flynn of Bogalusa; sisters, Vangie Fortenberry of Bogalusa and Alracea Saucier of Bogalusa; eight grandchildren, Tiffany Vansciver, Kayla Barber, Emily Bridges, Connor Irvine, Elijah Irvine, Misty Frederickson, Christy Henson, and Shawn Sammons; and nine great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Harlan H. Irvine Sr.; son, Dudley Irvine; parents, Jim and Louise Flynn; brothers, Glendle Flynn, Ferrel Flynn, and Darwyn Flynn; and sister, Jimmie Lou Varnado.

Visitation will be in the chapel of Brown-McGehee Funeral Home on Friday, Sept. 15, from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation will continue Saturday, Sept. 16, from 8 a.m. until time for services in the chapel at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Patrick Magee will officiate.
