“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).

Carolyn Ann Watterson Magee, 66, a native of Bogalusa, gained her wings on Aug. 26, 2017, at Lakeview Regional Medical Center in Covington.

Carolyn was born to the late Ray and Oneida Watterson on May 28, 1951. She attended Central Memorial High School. In 1969, she graduated from CMHS, and that was the last class to graduate from there. She worked at the State’s Theater, Rest Haven Living Center, and Bennie’s. She left a lasting memory with everyone she came in contact with. She will be missed by many.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her son, Gerald Ray Watterson of Bogalusa; a niece she reared as a daughter from birth, Komeka (William) Tillman; sisters, Rosetta (Will) Tillman, Patricia (Clarence) Abrams and Renee Peters, all of Bogalusa; brothers, Richard (Hyneitha) Harris of Baton Rouge, Charles Watterson of Bogalusa, and James Watterson of Vernon, Texas; her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, Sept. 1, from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m., with a family hour from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m.

The funeral service will be Saturday, Sept. 2, at 3 p.m., at the chapel of Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa, with the Rev. Clarence Abrams officiating.

Interment will follow in the Bogalusa Cemetery.

Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa is in charge of arrangements.
