A Bogalusa man was arrested on Thursday, Aug. 10, after the Bogalusa Police Department received a complaint from a woman who claimed her ex-boyfriend came to her residence on Sunset Drive, kicked her door in and beat her up, said Maj. Percy Knight of the BPD.

“According to the victim, the suspect, later identified as Allen S. Henry III, 30, forced his way into the residence,” Knight said. “Once inside the residence, Henry began to beat the victim’s head against a glass in the bedroom, kicked her while she was on the floor, and then he fled from the residence.

“The victim was transported by ambulance to the emergency room of Our Lady of the Angels Hospital, where she was treated for her injuries and released.”

Knight said that the victim had previously filed a protective order against Henry, and that order was still active at the time.

Knight added that on August 11, the victim called the BPD and said that Henry was at a residence on Plum Street. Officers responded to the residence, located Henry and placed him under arrest.

Henry was booked on the charges of battery domestic abuse, home invasion and violation of a protective order.
