Clarice Cowart Keaton, born July 13, 1929, went home to be with the Lord on Aug. 7, 2017, at the age of 88. She was a resident of Bush.

Clarice was a retired food supervisor with the St. Tammany Parish School System and a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Bush.

She leaves behind two sons, John R. Keaton and his wife Vallie Beth of Bogalusa, and Ronald Keaton and his wife Suzanne of Bush; a daughter, Elaine Keaton Williams and her husband Mark of New Orleans; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Ray Cowart and Hattie Grantham Cowart; her husband, John Keaton; a daughter, Janet R. Keaton; a brother, Ray Cowart; and two sisters, Eunice Crawford and Blanche Haik.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Aug. 9, at Hebron Baptist Church, beginning at 9:30 a.m. until the service time at 1 p.m., with the interment to follow in the Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery.
