Robert Glenn Cothern, 72, a longtime resident of Bogalusa, passed away at his home in Franklinton. He was born on Oct. 6, 1944, to the late Robert Lee and Sue Sumrall Cothern. He served in the U.S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Shirley Dewald Cothern of Franklinton; his daughters, Penny (Rob) Jones of Franklinton, and Tammy (Frank) Kraus of Crown Point, Ind.; his granddaughter, Kristin (Shay) Harris of Tallassee, Ala.; his brother, Earl Ray (Phyllis) Cothern of Bogalusa, Ricky Cothern of Maurepas, and his sister, Pat (Sam) Noto of Bogalusa. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Sunday, July 16, from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. Graveside services will be held at a later date.
